The Laboratory Support Services provides laboratory services and technical advisories, mainly on the following:
- Plant and Soil Analysis (Nutrient/Elemental Analysis – N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Cl, S, B, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Mo, Se)
- Heavy Metals and Toxic Non Metals Analysis (Pb, As, Co, Cd, Cr, Ni, Al, Hg) – Samples include plant tissues, soil, fertilizer, water, coconut products and other agro-/bio-related samples
- Chemical Analysis (FFA, Oil Content, Moisture, Color, Iodine Value, Peroxide Value, Saponification Number, Titrable Acidity, Specific Gravity, Water Activity, Ash, VCM, Fixed Carbon)
- Microbiological Analysis (Salmonella, E. Coli, APC, CC, YMC, Staphylococcus)
- Aflatoxin and Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) analysis – calibration on process – Samples include all coconut products
